Junior Achievement STEM Summit

Picture

York Electricians JATC participated in the competition portion of the Junior Achievement STEM Summit on December 4th at Kennard-Dale High School.  We built trainers that allowed the 10th grade class to experiment with basic electrical circuits including a light, switch, receptacle, push button, and a buzzer.  The competition required the students to work together, problem solve, and complete the project in time.  The students all did great and nearly all teams completed the project.  Thank you to IBEW local 229 members Travis Brown, Justin Black, and Tyler Ort for volunteering to proctor these competitions.  We look forward to working with Junior Achievement as they continue this engaging event throughout the schools in York County.
