Class of 2022 Volunteers at JA BizTown
York Electrical Institute Class of 2022 offered their time and expertise to Junior Achievement of South Central PA on August 14, 2021. The YEI Apprentices performed the electrical work for upgrades to the JA BizTown immersive learning environment for 5th and 6th-grade students. Work included relocating a traffic light, adding wiring and receptacles for TV’s in the KBIZ TV station, Gametown Video Game Coding Shop, and the new pergola in the town center.
Three of our apprentices are previous residents of BizTown and shared the stories of their experience as elementary students at BizTown. (Briar Smith, Kyle Lepore, Jacob Eakins). Harold Beatty served as the foreman for the project and oversaw the planning and performance of the tasks.
Thanks to the YEI Class of 2022 for supporting this great organization and their cause of getting kids excited about careers.
