Class of 2014 Senior Project at Camp Cann-Edi-On
On April 5th, 2014, the graduating class of apprentices organized and coordinated a volunteer effort at
Camp Cann-Edi-On in York Haven. They recruited other members of IBEW local 229 to make some much needed repairs and upgrades at the YWCA camp. The work included repairing an electrical service that was damaged by fallen trees, adding lighting in the bath house, adding and repairing flood lights around the cabins, adding receptacles in the kitchen and serving area, adding emergency lighting in the dining hall, and repairing and replacing wiring between cabins.

The day was very productive and everyone was happy to use their electrical skills to help the community. Thank you to the fifth year electrical apprentices (Justin Black, James Campbell, Wes Copenheaver, Jason Doutrich, Michael Jones, Edson Morales, Dan Naylor, Zachary Strausbaugh, Gary Taughinbaugh) and 3rd year telecommunications apprentice Colby Phillips for putting this all together.
